Had a leaking tranny on my 4 speed/Primo 2" open belt primary. Bought a "super nut" to put on it. When I tried to put the bearing brace plate on, the nut is holding it about 1/8" away from full contact. Did I just screw up when installing the nut, or are there other mods I need to make for the super nut to work? I've heard of a bunch of guys using these, so somebody must have run into this before.
Thanx, Terry

Hi Edge,

Never had much luck with the super nuts either, I always just resealed the trans.

Would really have to see it to say whats wrong, however sounds like you may have a few bad threads on the shaft, take a good look at them.

Either that or you have the wrong nut or the mainshaft was replaced sometime with a slightly different one.

Wish I could help more :D

are you using a long or short shaft tranny?

Hey edge. Maybe the bearing plate tolerence are so close that a super nut cannot be used. Supernuts are thicker then stock countershaft nuts.

Wide has y'a covered, never had much luck with a supernut.

Most 4 speed trannys will leak no matter what kind of nut you put on it if you do not seal the maindrive gear spacer. j m .02.
