here's one for all you gearhead's,, changing rear wheel from a 16" to a 17",, the 16" has a 130 avon,, the 17" has a 200 avon,, rolling radius on the 16" is 82",,, rolling radius on the 17" is 76",, i'll need a smaller sprocket,, i think ??,, but how much smaller,, i'm running a 48 tooth on the 16",, anybody know a formula,, or equation to figure it out,, or done it,, help,, :blink2:

looking at it in simplest terms, you see about a 10% difference in the rolling radius between the two tires (tyres?...lol). so, it would seem to follow that in order to keep the original o/all gear ratios that the rear sprocket should be reduced 10% as well- or about a 44 tooth.

that was quick,, J,, :D ,, you recon 44 tooth will do it,, coz i'll probably have to get sprocket made,, using a hayabusa back wheel,, i'll try suzi dealers first to see if they do a spkt in 530 chain size,, dont want to end up buying a few sprockets to get it right,, no offence,,, ;)

200 you can go HERE (http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/calc_gearratios.htm) & also HERE (http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/gearspeed.html) to look up what ratios you need, this way you can be 110% sure :D

With the ratio difference being at 10% Might try running it that way and see how she goes. :D Just a thought. B)
