I picked up an old metal lathe for my shop. Here are a few doo dads I made for the heck of it. The two cones are head bolt covers, the two tall pegs are shifter pegs and the tall pointy one is just a tall pointy thing threaede for 1/4 x 20. I have some bigger stock that I am going to use to make some new oversized foot pegs.

Rat Bike you might want to try polishing things like jewlers do. On my grinder I got a buffing wheel. One that I got at a jewlers supply shop. That way I can buff all the engine aluminum parts when I got them off for some kind of repair. I learned that back in junior high when I worked for a jewler.
