Looking for a receipe for the green sauce that serve in south Tex.They usualy just leave it on the table.I have been told that it is ground and chopped jalapeno's and some green tomatoes ot tomaltoes?

Not sure if this is the same stuff but here ya go:

Ingredients:
4 Avocados
1 (16 oz.) container Sour Cream
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 (4 oz.) can Green Chili Peppers
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
3 ounces Cream Cheese

Directions:

Mix and blend all ingredients until smooth.

This recipe for Casa Ole Green Sauce serves/makes 28 oz

DresserDan do you want a recipe or you want some already made, I can send you some thats already made, it is Tabasco green sauce. Or I can send you a recipe for the Jalapeno kind........let me know

It's not that fancy.I ate it at a lot of off the wall places in San Antonio.It tastes like it's pure chopped peppers.I was told it was just chopped jalapeno's.

I think I want the jalapeno.It is not Tabasco.They make it at the restraunt.

Well why not take a jar of jalapenos and blend them up with some tomatillos and green chilis? Probably add some salt and pepper and walla! Or if you remember the brand name let me know and Ill find a recipe for ya.

Ok, well you need 1lb of fresh Jalapeno's....destem and I devein 1/2, because they will be hot....then boil until they are tender....put in a blender and add some garlic powder,onion powder Go easy on the powders and put in before you blend.and then puree....Good Stuff, hot as hell but gooooddddddd :lol: :lol: :lol:
P.S. you can also add some tomato juice to make a great hot sauce.....
If you get things to hot add a little lemon juice(fresh squeezed) add a few drop and taste......
