My bike makes a noise sounds like two plates rubbing together. When I put it in gear it quits. I checked the clutch to see if it was loose and I also adjusted it. It's definitely noticeable and sounds like it's coming from the primary area.

I would check the primary adjuster shoe first. Reason? Because you change the tension on the chain and shoe when you put it in gear. You also stop the rotation of transmission and load or take the slack out of the gears and shafts that could rattle in neutral.

Makes sense. I'll pull the primary cover and check it.

got one coming in the shop this week for the same thing, I believe I will find a inner primary bearing bad or clutch hub bearing bad
tension-er is a possibility but from what I heard , I don't think so
