Does part time water cooling count. I don't mind riding in the rain too much.

I have a 2003 V-Rod and love it! Once you ride one, your addicted to the power and handling. They sounf like a sewing machine though. Adding a good exhaust is a must! V-Rod

Re: How many Harley Water Cooled do we have in here?

Yes! I have a watercooled Streetrod. Does a whole lot of things right.

Biggest draw back is, #1. It is so tall even my 6' frame is on'TIPPY TOES'. Parking lot parking can be a real bitch (wah, wah) if there is gravel watch your ass cause you a'int flat footed and any slip will bring that tall SOB falling over. I have dropped this bike more than any other motorcycle I have ever ridden. And all at,engine turned off backing or parking manuvers. I'm a dumbass? Maybe. I think the high seat, short, no leverage bars and the semi top heavy wieght of the scoot make it a hand full in a parking lot. An Ultra seems easier to back up. :P

But now for the good stuff.

Handling: super tight, rock steady, once committed into a corner (like it's on rails) it tracks unwavering but requires a little muscle to make her heel side to side on switch back corners. She'll do it but y'a gott'a work for it.

Brakes: Plain and simple! NONE BETTER! THe Brembo's rock.

Seat: Sucks. So g hard feels like you should be sitting on the sidewalk.

Power: Getting better everyday. As we speak the "SCOOT" is being dyno tuned and thrashed at "MR TURBO" right now. Left it there at 12:30 today.

Hopefully can pick it up tomorrow. Provided it a'int blown up. :P

Fuel: mileage sucks. Maybe the PCIII tune will help. Glad this bitch has a 5 gal. tank.

Overall a very interesting bike. If it was about 140# lighter it might be a "DUCK" chaser. As it stands now, wieght and H.P. limit it being a street fighter. But it is a fun and very capable roadster and faster then the rest of the H/D clan.

103", sorry the 68" revolotion motor will stomp your ass.

Vance @ Hines. How many times can they win 1 @ 2 in a row at national events. Remember when Harley sucked? Suzuki and anjoline (?spelling) have got to be getting pissed off about now.

Hell she should go over to V@H and put her 89# butt on a harley and get back on top of the game. Nah! On second thought lets just bury her with humiliation. Waaay more fun. B)

Great new forum Wide. Think I'll tear it up a'bit in hear as I abuse my "blockhead".

'03 V-Rod here. It is probably the best driving bike I've ever ridden. I love the powerful engine, and the feeling of having power in any gear at any speed. I also like the balance and it has a unique feeling when you lean it into a corner.

I also have an '04 RoadKing Custom, so I can appreciate the torque of the 88's.

Re: How many Harley Water Cooled do we have in here?

I have an 03 that I purchased july 03 made in june.It is one of the best bikes I've ever owned.I just got back from a ralley w another forum and I put on right at 3000 miles.I left Fl for the mid west and rode 1215 miles in 24 hrs only stopping for gas and snacks.I have almost 25,000 miles on total.I did a mod to the pipes, air filter and a PCusb.Best pass in the 1/4 was 11.87 worst was 12.30.It's not the fastest but it's fast.I ride this bike almost every where I go.Basically the only times I don't is when my wife wants to passenger and then we use the Heritage. We have almost 15,000 miles on it now.She will take the MCSC soon and if she can ride well we will have an 06 VRSCSE in orange.
