    Still stock for now.
Man that is a sweet '37. You said stock for now, what are your plans? A friend of mine has a '36 Chevy with all the goodies, tilt, a.c., power everything. It's cool to be able to get in and drive it across the country if you want. B)

I restored a '71 Cutlass Supreme SX Convertible about 3 years ago. 455, 4bbl, dual exhaust. Its called Grandma's 442 since it had every 442 option, but lower insurance rates since it isn't a 442. Its a sleeper muscle car.

    Bigshovel,

There is a difference of opinion on what is in the future for the '37.
My brother wants to restore it to stock with only a '40 juice brake setup.
I want to do a little more. OK, a lot more. OK, everything but chop the top.
We haven't done anything for a few years to it so when he "gives up"
I'll buy him out and make it a sweet rod. Going to stay Ford on the
powertrain and make it a driver.

Not much I can say about that...that car is beautiful, did you do the work yourself? I had a '72 for a short while we nicknamed it the "Gutless Cutlass"

I think you got the right idea, update it so you can really enjoy it and make it a lot safer too. Give me a yell when you decide to tear into it, I may be able to be of assistance.

I'll bet it can smoke all four tires even with the 4-wheeler in the back.

Everything 'cept the body work and paint.

And no wonder yours was gutless. 72 (actually 71) saw compressions fall compared to 1970 and before. Mine makes up for it somewhat being a 455 cuin.

Here's the 57 Chevy Bel-air, we got from Austin, Texas a year ago..paid around 2600.00 for the car and about 400.00 for shipping.. the frame is solid..We'll do all the work ourselves.. except the paint
