stop....turn the computer off, quit dreaming of big power and how you will have such a fast bike, and it will be so cool (funny, I recently gave similar advise to my dad)....I know it is difficult, and we all fall into that trap, but it will help you understand something
go ride your bike. Put as many city miles on it as you can. Spin the tire. hot rod it a little....
come back and seriously consider just how many times and for just how long your bike was in peak hp range. I think it will surprise you to realize just how infrequently you are at that exact RPM number......Now figure out just how often you are pulling against a torque curve, for initial acceleration or shift recovery...

look for a cam that gives you the low end and midrange power you use. I know that big hp numbers are appealing, but a quicker bike is often the one with less top end, peak, hp, and a better torque curve. Do your research based on the power range you use, instead of getting big eyed over big numbers......You will never have the fastest bike on the street this way, but the power you do gain will be more satisfying, for the way you ride
    I agree 100%

not knocking the gear drive setup
Just the chain setup a few years ago was not an option I would have went with
The new setup is much better than the old chain drive and the SE oil pump is much better then the stock one mine came with
204s I have in mine make mine feel like a new bike

    05 Ultra 103 Stroker

    I just bought a 2005 Ultra ... 27,000 miles. Bike had a 50 State Legal 103 Stroker kit installed at 0 miles.

Kit is 9:1 compression... SE 253 Cams.... SE Heads... ECM Download... SE Mufflers

I'm planning to upgrade the Cam Chain tensioners to Hydraulic cam plate & tensioners... and figure it would be a great time to upgrade cams.

I ride 2 up alot... 400lbs combined weight and often tow a 350lb trailer.

I'm leaning towards the SE 255 cams.... and a PCIII Tuner..... Your thoughts & why?
Would the SE204 be better?? Why?

    Thanks for the info.

on that set up I would use the 203 cam used that for my 02 road king against a lot of folks advice
was the best choice I could have made plenty of low end tork ran outstanding through the mid range
and great roll on form even 90 mph
Bucket list are for Sissie, men do it while they can enjoy it
