Hey, new here and thought I'd add my 2 bits.
Countersteering, also refered to as a controlled slide. When a rear wheel breaks loose (say to the right) one steers to the right to correct by putting the front wheel back into the line of travel of the rear. This rule is the same in either direction.
Displacement is the diameter of the piston multiplied by 3.14 multiplied by the stroke. Example ,a 100 cui motor ( V Twin of course) would have two 50" cylinders. 4 " piston ,4" stroke.
4 X 3.14 =12.56 (piston surface) X 4 (stroke) = 50.24 cui X 2 cylinders is a 100 cubic " engine also called a "Square motor" because the bore and the stroke are equal
Endo also refers to a type of crash where the rider is bucked over the handlebars in an ' Endo ver end fashion.
???? Countersteering isn't a controlled slide in my book. Push left, lean left, go left. Very natural. Did it before I was taught it.
Leave the gun.....take the cannoli
If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself!
When I rode dirt bikes and did broad slides I turned my handle bars. But on the street and on my harley I lean, I don't move my handle bars. I have developed my style of riding since I started riding in 1964.. Don't think I will ever change to any other type of riding, no matter what they teach in a school.
