I've been getting a lot of use out of my mesh jacket the last few days.

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

Ironic as it may sound I can't ride through all the deep mud to make pavement and then go for a long ride. That mud is so deep the two wheel drive cars get stuck in it quickly too.

one of the best jackets I have ever had was a Harley jacket called Switchback. It keeps me warm in cold weather and cool in Hot weather. It has numerous zip panels for airflow, and you can take off the outer shell for a mesh jacket with elbow and shoulder armor. I have the 06 version and noticed that they now have a 07 Screaming eagle version. It is not leather, but a cordura nylon. highly recommended

Good thing I still got the repaire manual for my 80 Sportster. It tells the owner to change the oil with the season so you run thicker oil in the summer than you do all winter.

That means here on the mainland I run 20-50 when it's cold and straight 60 weight when it gets hot.

There's even another trick you can do to the oil that I learned in Hawaii instead of in that manual. You can get an oil cooler and you have to make sure it's covered when the temperature hits fifty. Duck tape used to work but any more I just have to take the leather cover off that cooler so it'll make sure the oil stays cold enough to work better in the hot sumers we have here in New Mexico.

With all that I don't have to change the timing. That' helps or my ride would just be harder to start.

Unless you are CC or live in Cancun. It's still winter! :P

Now that the mention of death has come up I can't help throwing in that I'm for having Martha, my bike, stay running and alive longer than myself to make how ever long my life is worth living. It even helps that I got one of Martha's old oil tanks so they can cremate me and use it to bury my ashes in. Live to ride. Ride to live.
