I knew I wanted to put a 240 on and thought for a long time on which way I was gonna go w this. There are quite a few companys, including the MoCo,offering a variety of ideas on how to stuff a fat wheel and tire into the ass end of a V-Rod.I'm pretty hands on and a cheap bastard so I decided to do it myself.I like the solid wheels and the stock style belt guards along w the wide belt and pulley.I shopped and got a deal on Weld smoothies, the rear is used and the front new. When I thought I had enough stuff gathered I raised it up and started looking.I came up w 3 ways to do this and the last,of course, was it because I kept the stock style guards. With everything on and over a thousand miles of riding I manged to do this complete mod for less than $1800,machining and new Metz tires included. The wheel is perfectly centered.
I have another set of shocks that will be cut to set it down another 1/4 inch. Then I will have to carry the bike over speed bumps. Some chrome calipers and then after Sept I think I'll chrome the frame to match the new BB.![]()
This thing is smoother than new and actually handles better than the 200 tire. The only draw back now is motorists constantly wanting to ride next to me while they look and we all know what happens when you are riding or driving,we normally steer where we look!
I can't load more than 1 pic in the thread.I'm like a doctor....still practicing.I posted some more in my gallery.

Hey Elrod
Very cool!!
Did you see the 07's with the wider rear arm?
They look awsome & with 5 gal tank I think I may build me a dresser![]()

Yea,but I don't like the looks w the world standard rear fender. It makes the 240 look like a 180.This is another reason I chose to keep the wide belt, pulley and stock fender.Makes it look fat back there!
When are you gonna get one? There's plenty of deals now they've been around for a few years.
I'd like to get another one and strip it down and have some fun bracket racing but I got this damned job that takes up about 50 hrs a week.

I like the new ones with 5 gallon tank
I am thinking of throwning some luggage , windshield and a fat ass seat for 2 to make a log distance hauler
I did see at the show here in LA this rod with a charger that was pretty slick but I'd keep it close to stock & use the warrentee![]()
This baby has a slick on the back
