    Wrench,
    What IS Poly-oil?
Is it similar to the common spays like "Belt Grip", or is it more of a silicone oil?
Your post is telling me, I think, that you say the belt is squeeking from contact with the inside SIDES of the pulley? correct?

Poly -oil is a lubricant they make for the sides of the drive belt. It has the consistensy of silicone grease. I was getting a chirp/squeek under the same conditions. I have a buddy who was the parts manager at a local dealer and he handed me this tube of Poly-oil. Haven't heard it since.

If you have a fairing, you might check the fairing mounts or the ignigition switch had the same sound in mine last bike and the fairing somehow made it sound like it came from the engine.

Thanks for the further info. I asked because, like most I'm sure, I have LOTS of different lubes, etc. already here.
Sounds a bit like spray WHITE GREASE that could be sprayed on finger and lightly rubbed on belt sides. Or perhaps some graphite grease applied sparingly?
If that is the problem it sounds like an easy fix either way. Thanks again.

Hogg, no fairings or windshields....just bugs!

Sound like the belt to me as well. I used dry graphite spray on mine did the job and has lasted and any bolt supply shop will have it.

If my bike sits outside all nite & the belt has a chance to get damp she squeaks on decelleration till it dries out. The only thing I put on my belt is dry teflon spray, cuz Ive seen 'em go 100K plus when treated with it. B)
I knew all along now that I'd never fit in,at backyard get togethers, with their tonic & gin ...

Re: Squeak when getting off the gas

    I just remembered this thread.
My squeek/chirp bugged me until last week.
I simply could not find it. It chirped EVERY time you let off gas.
    BTW, it wasn't the belt.
I had a buddy over and we got talking about it and going over everything. First we thought it COULD be the choke knob kuryakyn chrome cover cause it squeeked badly when spun around.; But, it still did it while running on street and holding knob. I took it off and lubed it anyways.
But, we stumbled onto the culprit.
It was the shaft for the front/back up/down shifting pegs !! lubed the shaft and it stopped, but yet I could never make it happen while sitting and moving things.
My buddy said his older evo RK has a grease fitting in his shifter lever shaft .
