Could one of you real admins make this a sticky please? (Why am I an admin? I don't have any cool shit. )
If you've changed out your stock exhaust, air cleaner or reprogrammed your Electronic Control Module, please post details in this thread. Remember to be as specific as you can and post any Dyno results if you know them. I have a feeling this is going to be a well read thread.
Thanks.![]()

PCIII

When the bike was bone stock I was getting 32-35 mpg. After installing the above my mileage went DOWN a couple of mpg. I attempted to tweak the PCIII by the seat of my pants. While it got better, it wasn't great. I found a dyno shop about 4 miles from my house and had them run it on the DynoJet dyno. After about an hour on the dyno my hp had increased by 10 and torque was up the same amount. The air/fuel ratio throughout the 1000-4500 rpm range is 13.3-13.75. I had told the tech not to go over 4500 rpm. So all numbers where below that rpm. The following week I went to Americade and put close to 1000 miles on the bike in 4 days. Gas mileage has been slowly improving to where I get around 44/45 mpg on my normal daily commute. My last fill up was 2.43 gallons and 129 miles. I don't know what caused that, but I'll find out if it replicates tomorrow when I fill up again. I will say that most of my riding on that tank was under 50 mph. Performance has been noticably better since having it dyno'd. The feeling of pulling an anchor is gone. The bike just accelerates smoothly throughout the power band.
My Big Shots are considerably louder than when I installed them so I'm wondering if that means the back pressure is changing. If so,what effect would that have on the tune of the bike?
We'll sticky it here untill we find a better place![]()

Thank you for your reply DeuceDog but I was more interested in the 2007 model year. The '07's are going to be more challenging consumer-wise and was looking for tips to get around H-D's new EPA compliant set-up.![]()

Sorry Kagan, I missed the "2007" in your thread title. Feel free to delete my post if you'd like.
No, it can stay. It's a good comparison for '06 to '07 models. You did a good job describing your set-up.![]()

Had Rush pipes on my 05 R.K. Sounded very good!!!! Denny watch for them to yellow at the end of the pipe where it slips on.. Mine did and they stood behind them witha replacement as long as your dealer says the bike is tuned right.Originally Posted by Denny

Thanks Coolhawg!!!
I will keep an eye on it. The dealer did the install and remapping so they should stand behind it. These motors do run a lot hotter then my EVO did.![]()
