Has anyone done the HID headlight conversion? If so, where did you get the kit? I'd like to do it but the headlite is $700 from Kuryakin and around $500 from HD. Anyone have a better place to get the kit?

I installed one on my 2000 road-king. Everything was a plug- in and I was able to hide the igniter in the head-light case. I paid 250.00 for the kit and it was worth every penny . Every body sees me during the day and no-body can miss me at nightThe company is called K.O.P.S. I will look for the number and post it tomorrow.
Cool RKCOO
Would liek to see the link, the igniters I been using cost $750 from a BMW but thew really spank
Would love a smaller cheaper unit![]()

$250 is sure more managable than $500 or $700! I'll be looking for the number. Thanks!

I got my lights from JoJo auto in Staten island n.y. 718 317 5656. Ask for Mongo in sales. Tell him you know Wayne.
Also go to google and put in hid lights and 90,000 possibilites come up possible some-one in your neck of the woods
What did you guys do to shut off the light when starting the bike? I researched the hid system and they say the lights need to be off when starting the engine because the hid bulb needs full voltage to fire up, or the bulbs and ballasts wont last long. (they say on cars with drl to disconnect them, and at $90 a bulb thats expensive to me to be replacing them too soon)
Converting a halogen headlight assembly to HD is illegal for public road use because of the reflecting housing the halogen bulb uses. You must use a refracting housing designed for the HD light or the beam pattern will not be focused correctly.
