    Re: bought new set up

Well at the last minute I decided to brew a Munich Lager instead of the Barleywine . Since it takes a long time to finish I will need more bottles. Dont think I can sit around looking at full bottles . :lol
My only problem is that with the wood stove the air temp in my house is 72-75 all the time . I thought the air lock was shoot right off the bucket after 3 hours of bubble'n like crazy since lager yeast like 45-55 degrees ... Then it hit me the pantry is always cool so I just tossed all the potato's ,onions, flour and veggy oil that was on the floor to the spare room.

Set the bucket in there .. nice and cool and she calmed down after a few hours..... cant say the same bout the wife though

Brian I did manage to score 31 Grolsch bottles from the bar in town. I just ordered some replacement rubber seals this is going to make capping a pleasure.

Hey, never thought of that(grolsch bottles). I'll do the same. I probably have 12 cases of various bottles. I like to brew so I need lots of bottles so I can store my recipes for a year or more without needing the bottles back.
I'm having a nice Irish Red right now. I like them when I'm thirsty.

    Looks good.
I had several co-workers over this afternoon. They all enjoyed various home brews. It's great to share and get compliments on the great rich taste of the beer.
Apparently, we'll be brewing on Monday again.

Munich Lager . Its just about done because the temps were higher than teh recommended 45-55 but it should be OK as I will just let it Lager in the bottles in the fridge an extra week or two. Just bought the ingrediants to do a Bock style beer .. This is really getting addicting.
