Thanks to Kagan, I got my Rinehart True Duals Tuesday night.Contrary to a Man's instinct, I read the directions. When installing the mufflers to the pipes it states to "Apply a bead of Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp Silicone Sealer to the inside of the inlet of the muffler", then slide onto the pipe.
While I'm sure that it's to stop exhaust gas from leaking at the joint, I'm concerned about the two pieces being glued together should I ever want to dissemble them in the future. Thought about just putting anti-seize and then assembling.
Any thoughts or tips?
Use the silicone like they say, it will come apart later if you need it. If you use the never sieze the silicone won't stick and you will have a leak there, which makes for decel popping...![]()
