What is the difference between these two bikes? Can't decide which one to get. I don't need the rear speakers because I will be riding solo! Also, have been hearing a lot about the ultra classic getting really hot...any comments?
cb radio, rear speakers, cruise control, and sirius options on newer models are about the main differences, along with extra lights in the back....
If ya riding solo, maybe a King would fit ya
Thank God for, Jack Daniels, Babes, and Harley-Davidson.
Or even a standard...either way, the babes are gonna be after
ya for a ride. You seen the commercials haven't ya?
jr's got ya covered.
My bike's callin'...
Both of em' get hot.
if i was going to get a bagger I would get a FLHR RoadKing...red and black ....thats a sweet bike and it does not have the lower faring ...prob run cooler

If you're not going to do any major touring I would stick with the Classic. Me and the old lady have taken off for a long weekend and taken everything we've needed on just the Classic (tent, chairs, clothes) You get a radio and tour pack, just no lowers. I like the fact that the tour-pak (with quick disconnect) comes off easy for around town or bar hopping. Mine is a '98 and I think I've used the tour-pak a dozen times, but it's nice to have when you need it! The Classic comes with more chrome (engine package) and also has saddle bag guards. Good luck, either machine in a beaut!
Love my classic, added lower fairings, but don't need the chicken band radio. I am just not on the same page as those truckers.
The Electraglide Standard is a no frills all business machine, sounds to me like that would fit your purpose.
I knew all along now that I'd never fit in,at backyard get togethers, with their tonic & gin ...
Harley riders are a dime a dozen,"Bikers" are a dying breed.
I've owned a Road King and Ultra Classic. I currently own a Street Glide and like it the best. It offers a sporty bagger look...if you will.
