    losing weight

I was wondering if anyone here has found a successful diet or diet pill that will help you lose the weight. I gained about 15 lbs in the last year and have started trying to agressively lose it and get back to my normal size. I have lost 5 lbs so far but the other 10 is a little more stubborn. Anyone found anything that helps out significantly?
I am starting to ride my bicycle in the afternoons more and have the weightbench in the a/c to work out anytime of the day I can.
I've done the fat to muscle diet years ago and it worked well, but don't want to do it again because there is so much food to buy and prepare. It's alot of work and my body gets used to the proteins and no fat and when I eat fat, I can't keep it down which can be a problem. Any suggestions?
You may not like where I'm going but you sure know where I stand.

The Abs Diet is by far the best one I have found!

I don't trust or recommend diets, it's a temporary fix. Maintaining lost weight is a lifestyle change of your eating habits.

Myself I've found eating in increments helps because your metalbolizm burns more. If I bring a sandwich for lunch I'll eat half and an hour later the other half. Drinking a full glass of water before each meals helps you get full faster and I'm lucky I'm not a night snacker. Exercise is important and I've found walking helps tone and drop pounds. My favorite that was the most noticable was PILATES, I swear by this. Don't have to bust your ass to see results.

Good luck FS. But the unfornate part about losing weight is the last 10# is always the hardest and age is also working against us.

    Re: losing weight

Not that I would recommend it, but my accident really woke me up. Being over weight didn't help me in any way when I plowed into the side of a car. People like to joke about extra padding helping in an accident but that's a crock.
When my bones came to a sudden stop, the rest of me wanted to keep going. That tore me up.
I've lost at least 30 lbs since the accident. No special diet. I just cut down on drinking and stopped eating out so much. And I only keep healthy food around the house.
    Good luck

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

Low carb works for me everytime. I eat like a pig and lose considerable weight each week. My husband did it for 6 weeks and lost 30 lbs. Went off his high blood pressure and cholestoral meds too. Once you get down to your desired weight maintenance is a breeze. Good luck!

I"m a carboholic, lol. I count fat grams. Good luck FS. When Rob moved in with me two years ago he took over the cooking and damn if I didn't gain weight. I'm back to working on it now. My son's getting married next year and I want to be a sexy mother of the groom.

Try phentermine, it works really well. It's a prescription but you can get it online. Oh and if you are on blood pressure meds you can't take it. JR

    Re: losing weight

I have done the carb diet before and only gained weight while my hubby lost! GRRR! I can't take the phentermine or most diet pills due to my blood pressure, which limits me to mostly diet and excerise.
Art, not sure I want to try losing it the way you are.
The 5 I lost was by cutting out alcohol during the week and eating lower fat foods and lower calories. I'll have to check out the other diets mentioned and see if that is something that RN will eat on too. That's the problem is that I have to cook for both of us and I don't want to have to cook 2 meals and eat yukky stuff while he enjoys the good food.

    Re: losing weight

I've been trying to get Dot to try Dr. Buck's new miracle sperm diet. It's easy..... every time you feel the urge to eat, you just give your husband/boyfriend a blowjob. It works because it satisfies the craving to munch on something and/or to have something in your mouth, gives the dieter needed protein, keeps them occupied so they don't think about eating and actually burns calories both from the diet itself and the other strenuous workout this type of diet can lead to.

so far her only reply has been "yeah, right".
