Anyone with a Harley and empty wallet can understand the need for some homemade tools. There have been several times that I have had to borrow some tool instead of force myself to buy it. Some times it even helps to have some tools used on old pickups. They made one that was used to compress the front break disk holder on old Chevy trucks that can be turned into the tool needed to compress the clutch on a 1980 Sportster. I just had to figure out how to bolt it to the inner primary chain cover. With something like that you can easily work on the clutch and save enough money to buy some parts for it. Good luck.
