    Hondachopper project

I had my drive shaft lengthend because I did not like how short the bike was. I bought two extra shafts and had them welded with stainless, lathed and trued into one. Now its just a matter of chopping the ass end off again and welding up a new rear frame. I am planning on ending with a little nicer looking bike this time, as I was in a big hurry to get it done the last time and did not spend alot of time on details and cleaning it up. Anyway heres a few shots.

    Sits mush better

Ever think of dropping the back frame section a little. Take an inch or two out of the top rails then bend the bottom ones up a bit like the Paucho frames? Give it that low slung look

I actually got the whole rear end welding finished yesterday, I just need to take some pics. It definitely sits way better. The cool thing I have realized working with the driveshaft vs the chain is that even if things are not perfectly aligned it won't make any difference. That universal joint fixes alot of imperfection in that regard. Of course facing north while your bike is traveling west may look odd to passerbys.

    lookin good, bud.....

as a side note, most u-joint/cv joint shafts require at least a 5-degree offset to work properly....

FWIW, (which ain't shit :P) I like Wide's design there with the red line. I like how it extends the lower frame tubes parallel to the ground while still providing a firm connection to the hub. But I undertand that Rusty's already done a lot of work and can't just erase it and start over. That's why I like working with computers!
