it is an aftermarket alum. ford block. its the 4.6/5.4L family. A ford pioneer Sean Hyland teamed up with World Class and made this prototype you see here, they have been out foe about a year and a half now. it handles over 2500 Horsepower, made for drag and endurence racing. cost is about $3500. i had the chance to buy one of these. Very nice!

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

Not in all cases, but it is easier to teach a good machinist to be a programmer rather than the other way around.
feeds and speeds are one thing...but knowing the tooling and little tricks you learn from hands on machining is hard to pass on and they do apply to CNC programming
Also on a side note I have been told by many a person they were a CNC programmer and I was not impressed by their abilities.
thay could not tweek (hand edit) a program worth a shit...if the computer didn't puke it out, they were lost.
There are alot of programmers out there...very few good ones.
A good programmer is worth his weight in gold.
The problem is, that if you don't understand programming (like most people that do the hiring) you don't no the diff

Catching this about some fancy new piece of equipment makes one wonder if something like this really replaces a hacksaw. For some of us cutting metal the old way saves us a lot of bucks. That's why Hacksaw User Manual helps us out. Right muscles over mental strength.
