    bobber comparison

in an earlier post, i was asked about the floorboards i put on my recent project. i thought that this comparison picture i stumbled on this AM of a restored 1936 knuckle bobber and mine would elaborate.

Looks awesome, Junior. Now all ya gotta do is find yourself a kicker.

the original design i had called for a kicker with a joe hunt mag. the mag was needed as the tc88's require a minimum 150rpm cranking speed to light with the stock ignition. being as how i did the whole bike for @$3200 and i was on a budget, i opted to not include the $1400 mag.

    maybe next one.....

OK.... I guess your right the floorboards aint that bad......I never saw a bobber with floorboards before...I guess I could get used to it. Im gonna start my own project soon from that old FXR I bought for 3500. not sure which way I wanna go yet but your bobber looks like not a bad way to go. atlas wide drive (EVO style) is that the frame?

I'm not much into custom bikes. (what the fuck am I doing here?)
But you and Relic do some class work.
Someday I hope to get back into playing with wrenches.
It's kind of tough when ur living out of a suitcase.

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

I think they are pretty cool with floor boards. I ended up taking mine off only because I had a set of forward controls on the shelf. The boards are definitely more comfortable though.

    Re: bobber comparison

if you look closely, you can see that i made brackets for the floorboards to be used with standard aftermarket forward controls. this way you can mix and match pegs or boards as you want....
