Try Nevr Dull wadding pad. Road Nazi uses it for his golf clubs, but when I was drag racing I used it to keep my polished aluminum interior of my race car sparkling when I was showing it. Note: use with rubber gloves or it will turn your hands black. We recently loaned it to a friend to clean his Harley wheels. I had the same problem on my Yamaha I had a couple of years ago, the dude didn't ride it or clean it and the chrome and wheels were in terrible shape. I used Nevr Dull and it was sparkling. Wax it after you are done.
You may not like where I'm going but you sure know where I stand.
    Chrome is my favorite color.

firestarter sounds like you are volunteering to clean some rims for us, if so I can have mine down there this week , that is way to much work for me to keep them clean , besides I like a dirty bike , reflects the owner

Listen ya'll ... I REALLY appreciate all the comments, and advice ya'll have posted here. Thanks so much for all the help and please continue to post any additional comments. My wife is probly gonna shoot me when I come back from the shop today ... I'm gonna get ALL KINDS of goodies! I still need to invest in a good jack though. PepBoys has one for like $86.00 ... which ain't bad and basically mirrors the H-D one that they are selling for $280 ... haha .. I think H-D can keep the orange paint on that thing .. i'm springing for the $86.00 jack (comes with cradle and padding too).

Oh no, I'm not volunteering for any wheel washing! LOL
Once you get the wheels clean then you have to clean the rest of the bike. hehehe
