Just saw the PC 5 at a local shop. Get this though -- the PC 5 will make the check engine light stay on all the time on an 08 or 09. But PC says it causes no issues -- so how would you know when the ck engine light NEEDS to be on?
I guess you are talking about a Powercommander. I wonder if they will be able to fix that? As wimpy as it may sound, I plan to keep my bike close to smog legal so I can pass a smog test if I need to. I might just keep my chip up to date but put a power commander on for the dyno tune. That way if I need a smog check I can disconnect the pc5? I also can push on if the pc breaks by disonecting it

That would drive me crazy!! A light on all the time would have me always worried!
I use the V&H module, and I know I can always slip on my stock pipes and pull the module and it goes right back to stock.

Yea, there's no way I would put up with that. I'll probably just go with a stage I chip burn and see how long I can put up with that.
They should make those Powercommanders so you can have a few differant progam modes like Power mode and Gas mizer mode and Smog legal mode.

I have a PC V on my 09 FXDB. No check engine light has ever come on. (unless you count start up, which is normal) Where did you hear that? I have heard of people adding a power commander and having the light come on, but I can't imagine it running correctly and the light never going out.
Anybody else having good luck with the powercommander on a newer bike?

That is a known problem with the new PC's... One of the reasons, I like the TTS Mastertune, is that it is all software. Sooooo, if you have a problem, you can re-install (5 minutes with a laptop) your original Harley factory map, take it to Harley, and no one knows anything. Roger pointed out that he wanted a stage 1 map. Harley charges about (varies $150-185) for that. It is included in the TTS Mastertune (about $335 and you never need anything else). Best deal around right now..
