    Welcome ibemenur,

Isn't the stock alarm system supposed to turn off when you unlock the ignition?
If not, hopefully someone else can help you out.
    Good luck

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

If the system is like my 04 Heritage are you pressing the button once to arm and two qick times to disarm?? If that's not it, if you have annother fob thry that, could be the battery. Other than that there is a proceedure for disarming without the fob using the ignition switch and directional switches I believe. Dealer or owners manual should explain.

whenever I forget to disarm and turn the ignition on the directionals flash and if you have the horn that would initiate. Don't think just turning the ignition on will shut the alarm.

opps. I believe you are correct firestopper.
I never used the damn thing and always left the fob at home.
Now I leave the fob in my saddle bag on my 08 because I don't know how to turn it off so I can leave the fob home.

Know what you mean Roger. My wife's 08 RK no push buttons on the fob. Just have to be within a few feet of your bike and it automatically disarms. There's still a procedure if the fob fucks up where you use the directionals to disarm the system.

Yea, I remember some combination of serial # and birthday or something like that.
I never needed to do that. Good thing, because I sure as hell don't remember how. I need a new remembery.
