    HD Garage Door Opener

I need some help. I had the opener installed on my Road Glide and it has been working fine for 4 months. I leave one morning and close the door using it. When I get back several hours later it won't open the door. Now for the help part....I can't find my instruction sheet and I can't remember the steps to sync the transmitter and receiver. Does anyone here have the instructions that they could email or fax to me or posibbly type in the sequence for syncing the T&R?
I appreciate any help you can give me.

I think you have to follow the instructions that apply to your garage door opener.
Usually there's a button that you push on the opener at the same time as you push the button on the remote.

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

Try unplugging the garage door opener and then immediately plugging it back in again.

I have no idea if this will help your situation, but I have Genie Garage Door Opener that occasionally becomes confused, and this seems to set thing straight again.

Don't know about HD opener, but there are toggle switches on the door motor and remote. Make sure they are in-sink. If not call the wife about 3 minutes out and have her open the door.,

Close.............Push the red button on the back of your door opener, when the overhead light starts flashing (if yers isnt burnt out?) simply hold the button down on the bike, the light on the door will quit flashing and its done......

Yea, I usually bring a remote whenever I have access to anyones garage so I can program it when they're not looking.

    Re: HD Garage Door Opener

I just used the extra opener for my garage door, mounted it under the seat, and wired in a button mounted in the old hole for the aux light switch on my nacelle. It has worked for a couple years
I let my mind wander.......It never came back

Go to your dealer, they can print you the instruction sheet for the unit if it's an HD part #

The opener I got from HD is a self contained unit. It has it's own receiver that you plug into the outlet and wire it to the opener. The transmitter, I put in behind the fairing and hooked the power to the headlight circuit. Every time I want to open the door I just flip my brights on and off. Been working on 4 different bikes and two different houses(garages).
I had the right to remain silent...But not the ability!
