I'm testing a new pipe for RB Racing

My friend who works at RB Racing asked me if I'd test their newest prototype. We put it on my Road Glide last night and brought the bike to Steve at TTS and had it professionally tuned. My bike has now come alive. The performance and sound of the bike is fantastic. I'll be riding 200-300 miles today so my friend can observe the overall sound and performance. The good news (for me) is I'll be able to keep the prototype after it gets powder coated.

I just returned from a 300 mile ride. The new pipe is excellent. It's a bit louder then most RB Racing pipes which are known for being more muted then many pipes. There were no backfires or popping and the motorcycle sounded like a Harley should. I am sworn to secrecy so I cannot divulge anything else about the pipe. We're taking it off my bike tomorrow morning and sending it out for powder coating. I'm told that this particular pipe should be ready for production in 4-6 weeks. Please note that I do not work for them so nothing I say is "official". All I can say is that I will not be putting my V&H's back on the bike.

Sorry Tim, I can't even show a photo. The only thing I can say is that it's a 2 into 1.

I asked about a Dyno the night they were installed but didn't get an answer. I'll follow through because I'm curious about it too.

My friend who works for RB Racing put the same pipe on his Road Glide with a highly modified 110. It was one of the loudest bikes I've ever heard. I have a stock engine with SE255 cams and the pipes were much quieter. My friends pipe was 1/2" larger in diameter at the head and made my bike sound whisper quiet in comparison.

I asked about getting a dyno and was told that my bike was used to test for every day riding. They were looking at more then just the performance. They wanted to look at the gas mileage, sound and "seat of the pants" feel of the bike. I was told that it would be up to me to dyno the bike on my own. I'll be able to post photos once I get the pipes back and on my bike.
