Yea, you tough guys make a great target.
I'll ride below the radar this time.
I've pushed enough things to the limit in my time.
You can find the limit.
I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly
I'm only bustin you ...
My next bike might keep the stock pipes. A bunch of towns around here, like, Boston are imposing $300 fines unless you got stamped pipes. Actually, unless you got straight pipes or are getting on the throttle hard your pipes ain't that loud. Not compared to a leaf blower.
Some of you New England folks will recognize this guy from the MMA.

Excerpt: "Since June, however, Cote has been fighting tooth and nail to repeal an ordinance enacted in Boston that threatens to slap motorcycle owners who rev up too high in the city with a $300 noise-pollution fine.
"Motorcycles have to be inspected once a year — I have an inspection from Seacoast Cycles up in Newburyport," said Cote, who said the inspection found the noise from his bike was "not unreasonable." "They put the sticker on my license plate, and that gives me the right to operate my motorcycle in all 352 cities and towns in Massachusetts, as well as other states because there's reciprocity. The city of Boston doesn't have the authority to do what it did."

Got the new Stealth7 by Bub installed. My old slip ons were Reinhart true duals with 2" headers, and 2" baffles. They were 102 db at idle, and 125 db when I got on it. The new ones are 86 db at idle, and 106 db when I rev it. This was taken 6 feet away from the end of the pipe. At 25 feet back of the bike it was about 70 db at idle and 85 db when revved. The old slip ons were 125 db at 25 feet back. So they made a lot of difference. Now we will have to see what performance if any has been lost....
