Hi All
I have a 2009 Roadking Classic dose anyone know what the implications are of jamming open the active exhaust valve?
Will it cause me management system any issues?
did a little homework as i had no idea what you were talking about. the bypass is in euro spec models only (hence my ignorance) and closes the right muffler during certain conditions. i noted several companies that make a plug in bypass. i'd recommend this over mechanically disabling it as the electronic bypasses likely will not set a code.

It can be disabled with certain tuners. SERT,, TTS,,not sure with the SEST.

Popped into my local dealer and they are going to disable it on Saturday FOC
Is this like the thingie on my '09 that shuts down the rear cylinder during high heat conditions? Mine is controlled with the throttle before starting the engine..... it shuts down the rear cylinder and lets it act like an air pump to pump cold air through the cylinder. As soon as you touch the throttle, it starts seamlessly. Works great and never notice it in operation. But can sure tell a difference in heat...
