    Tire question.....

Well last Sept I hit a curb at 35mph and needless to say crashed. lol I'm pretty much all healed up and almost done fixin my scoot. Here's the question.....The tires had only 2500 miles on them (Venom x's) and still look ok inside and out. Both rims were bent pretty good from hittin the curb. Not real sure on the make-up of tires so am wondering if they would still be ok to use or should I just toss em and buy new again? TIA.....

I believe that the best advise is to get two new tires. Inspecting the tires may show no visible damage but they may have damage to the internal construction (sidewall, ply or bead). Be safe and get new tires.

Although the tires are probably fine, I would replace them. I've had a blow out at 70 MPH and it's not fun. I'm assuming that it was your front tire that hit the curb. I would at least replace the front.

Don't be foolish, GET NEW TIRES.

The only reason to not get new ones is to save money. Tires cost a couple of hundred bucks, but are the MOST important part of the bike when it comes to safety and how much trouble you can get into should one fail. If your mechanic said to you "everything is fixed except the brakes, but you might be able to get away with the old ones". Would you still chance it. I have seen a lot of guy who tried to get "just a few more miles" out of old or damaged tire and all they got for their frugal intentions was a few broken bones and some road rash.
