    65 Panhead build

Started working on the Pan today. 65 electra glide

Tore it down, did some inspection and took some measurements

heres a fewpics and will be adding more along the way with what is done. Bike is at Alan Lees shop. I will do much of the grunt work but I turned final decisions over to Alan as what will happen.

    Enjoy

After the tear down we went to the swap meet here in long beach and picked up a few parts to liven up the bike

To go with the rear Alum swingarm grabbed a set of new take off forks off a softail, adding some race tech gold emulaters to control dampening and possibly a spring change. I want full control of bounce and rebound on the tubes. Were fitting these to the stock front end. Reason for these is availability of newer bolt up disk 4 piston brake set up.
We went with Lydel Racing floating composite rotors for stopping power.

Grabbed some fishtails to make an up-sweep exhaust

Mikuni carb with Accel pump for easy starts.

    Pics soon..

It appears to be in pretty good shape. How's the engine?

So Wide, what are your plans? Are you going to restore her back to her original glory? This will be fun watching the progress.
Hope for the best, but pack for the worst!

Engine has been rebuilt with good parts, stock but runs strong. No intention to hot rod

No not restore, will save that for next time. This will be something that looks 60's vintage except for suspension , no paint owrk at all no chrome. All old parts I gathered will be used with some new

Sounds good. That's a cool bike as is

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

I see you have a black oil spot on the floor just next to the bike. Better clean that up.
