HI, I have a laud knocking sound on my carb 05 Springer Classic, when idle and cold mainly. The sound is like coming out from the block, went off when revving up and when the engine is hot. Any idea guys???It sounds very wierd on a 20,000miles bike
First I would check the security of the exhaust headers.

as fun as that sounds DON'T......My 127 incher has broken two primary chains, in the last three years. The second took out the inner primary. The second final drive belt, got me home, but was missing 26 teeth. Stiffer shocks were mandatory to keep the rear from hopping, the frame had to be modified......it is all a real pain in the ass....Keep the horsepower upgrades mild and enjoy ridingOriginally Posted by coolhawg6622
I let my mind wander.......It never came back
Need more info bro,can you describe the condition and sounds a little better? Could be alot of things from your description, oil to top end, lifter goin' south on ya',cam chain maybe, and alot of others..........
