The material was wearing heavily on on of the back speakers, so I decided to upgrade.
I did a little research and came up with these. The fronts are now 7.5" rather than 5.25".

Looks cool Goerge!!!
Now you need a good amp......ARC has a dandy in the 125.2 mini....
Hope you like the JM'S as I never had much luck with there stuff.....especially for the price......
I just installed a Alpine deck with the Arc mini and Alpine 6.5's (in the front) and Alpine 5.25's in my Limited..........Kicks ass!!! I have heard good things about the 7 inchers but have not heard a set yet.....
How's she sound??![]()
Its a dog eat dog world and I'm wearin milkbone underware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the ARC 125.2 amp with their 6.5 speakers on the say for my 02 Ultra. I did a LOT of research before making up my mind and talked to a lot of riders that have used all types of equipment over a period of about 4 months. I have to agree J&M is over priced for what you get. I have heard both the J&M 7.5 and the ARC 6.5 and like the ARC better. Mid and high range is more crisp.
Sounds like I should have done more research. I can always add the amp. It has to be an improvement over the stock.
I haven't ridden enough yet to know how much improvement it will be. I have a 30 mile each way Crawfish boil run planned for Saturday. That should be a good test. I also liked it came with it's own cover. Hopefully the 7.5"ers will be worth the cost. I figured I would only do it once and that site had a fairly good discount off list. I can always add the amp later if needed.
