Unhappy Advise with EFI 2004 RK

I have a 2004 RK with 14766 miles on her she runs great but I noticed a small hissing sound coming from under the tank some wheres, it seem to come & go. I traced it down I think it into the EFI system, I have allways heard this noise since it was new when I would turn the on off & on knob on the console it would hiss for abut 5 sec till it primed the injectors & then sstop. I think this part was normal but now I here it erratically while the motor is runing it seems to get a bit louder then softer sound kind of a rattle hissing sound. Ater the motor is stop it makes this same erratic hissing noise for about 7 sec, Is this the EFI pump or a vacuum leak of some sort. Where should I begin to repair this..........HELP

Never owned an EFI bike but from what you described you may have fuel by-pass / leakage in the pressurized fuel line in the tank. What does it sound like if you remove the fuel cap?

The normal noise you hear when you turn it on is the fuel pump priming the system. If that is occurring during normal riding then (IMHO) something is wrong.

No this hissing noise stays while the bike is running & its very obvious when you kill the ignition switch for about 7 sec's. I was wondering should I should remove & replace the EFI pump ?

Horse is right I think, you probably have a leak somewhere and first need to find out if it's inside or outside the tank. If the fuel pump itself is running when it's not supposed to be, then it's possible you have some kind of electrical problem that is setting it off.
I haven't heard of this exact problem before, but it certainly sounds like it's happening under pressure.
