I always forget Cnet. You told me about them before and I saved it somewhere.
My last SLR was a 35mm Canon AE1. Then I bought a 8mm camcorder thinking I'd record precious moments of my kids growing up. I got an 8mm cuz someone told me the pros used 8mm. I used it for maybe a total of 45 minutes. 20 minutes was recording my daughter's figure skating show. I was doing great until my son told me that I was taping the wrong kid. It looked like my daughter through the viewfinder but it was someone elses daughter.
So it goes.
The kid at that store I went to. What was it called? Anyways, he said the point and shoots today have a lot of the features only avaialble on SLR's a few years ago. My experience is that even if I bought an expensive SLR my photos would look like cheap snapshots anyways. I'm not too artistic unless it involves naked women.
If it weren't for women I'd be lost.
