From Missoula MT to Lewiston ID
On Aug 25th I started out on a 3500 miles journey looking for the best motorcycle roads. Traveling all through Orgen, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, back to Montana, Idaho and finally Washington we decided to take US 12 from Missoula MT to Lewiston ID and on to Walla Wala WA. on day 10. On this day we rode Lo Lo Pass.
You know when you see the sign, Caution 99 miles of twisting road ahead, you in for a great time. Through the Clearwater Natural Forest, on the most beautiful scenic road I have seen. The most twisted road I have ever been on. You can cruise most of the road at 70, as you do on most road out this way. Pavement is excellent.
If ever you get the chance ride Lo Lo Pass US 12 do it, you will be impressed.
Other highlights, Oregon Coast to Coos Bay, Siuslaw National Forest,UmpQua National Forest,Crater Lake,Winema National Forest, Willamette National Forest,Three Sisters Widerness, Bend / Sisters OR, Ochoco National Forest, Malheur National Forest,Boise National Forest, Payette National Forest, Hells Canyon National Forest, Craters of the Moon, Yellowstone, Grand Coulee, Lake Roosevelt and much more.
Returned home Sept 6th, broke and a bike covered with bugs, 13 days of dirt, and a worn out final drive belt.
BEST DAMN RIDE I HAVE EVER TAKEN.
Good for you Horse. You get more miles in than me these days.
Glad you had a good time and thanks for sharing it.
How many miles does your bike have now?
I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly
Roger,,, just under 80K. This has been a good year for riding. Rolled on 15K since February and plan another long fall ride, some place warm. Need to replace the final drive belt first and the front tire.
And are there any pics of your journey Horse?
A WELL BEHAVED WOMAN NEVER MAKES HISTORY!
Man I want to go out of my driveway and just hang a right and go so bad and I'm kicking my ass for not doing right now.
Still being vaginally manipulated after all these years.
LoLo pass is cool. I have driven it in a car a couple of times. I would love to do it on a bike. Beautiful part of the country.
Cheap stuff ain't good! Good stuff ain't cheap!
I did not take any pictures but my riding buddy did. I will try to get some posted.
