Are you possibly talking about an accurate engineering engine?

    http://www.accurate-engineering.com/

Also S&S makes old style stuff

You have more info? Pics? Serials?

i have no idea what this is, but it isn't a harley-compatible engine. here's what i see:

harley engine cases split right and left. this is because they use a knife-style rod setup where the pistons share the same basic centerline longitudinally. the crank is split, the rods loaded from one side, then crank/rods are then dropped as an assembly into a case half. this case in the picture splits top to bottom. you would have to use a rod with a clamshell bearing setup and bolt on caps. this means that the pistons would be offset. harley components are not compatible. also note that the "jugs" are cast to the top half of the case. this is really almost like an automotive style setup.

let's say you somehow find the heads, crank and so on that goes with this thing. i'm not convinced that the rest of the design (dimensionally) would mate up with the frame or primary components for a harley application.

just my opinion, but i'd not invest anything more into this.

after i posted i thought about this. it is possible that the intent is to assemble the crank with harley parts and then drop it in from the bottom. somehow you'd also have to have the pistons and rings on at the same time and get that loaded from the bottom as well (if possible). so, it might work. i'd check around to see if these cases were ever actually used for a harley motorcycle application first though.

That thing looks like a decoration for a coffee table in the waiting room of a bike shop.

Kopi af Billede 004.jpgKopi af Billede 003 (1).jpgOK it is a SuperVee engine built here in huntingtion beach
    California

They use small block chevy stuff as internals

    PIC OF BIKE

    http://www.ridleysrides.com/supervee.html

This is the engine that has been around since the early 80's, was basically the front 2 cylinders off a 350ci small block Chevy, put into a custom engine block.Generation 1 of that engine, had the front timing cover, timing chain, modified distributor, even an external harmonic balancer. Generation 2, they changed the valve covers, removed the outside balancer and modified the distributor,Generation 3, they tried a pick up for the ignition similar to what Harley used.

here are some engine deals I found

    Hey guys
@ Junior: sorry mate it is a harley aftermark. Here is a thread I found on another site. http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=59837 there is some more pic.

@ Wide: I dont think it is related to Super vee. It looks nothing like the nostalgia cycle super vee. See pic.

fair enough, bud. i see the similarities, but i still believe that it will take some manufacturer-specific parts to get it running....

good luck with your project. don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. i was one of the first guys to put a tc88a in an evo frame in 2000 and all i heard was "it can't be done".

here's one i did a couple of years ago...
