Mikuni HSR42 Carburetor is starving the heads for fuel

Hey all, I am new to the group and really need some help. I have been unable to ride my bike this past year due to financial reasons. The bike sat and was only started a couple of time (my fault). I went out this past weekend and tried to get things rolling. I noticed that I was getting no fuel to the carb, so I started at the tank. I drained the fuel, it was real bad, replaced the fuel lines, cleaned the screen and finally started to see fuel flow from the line to the carb. I am still getting no fuel to the carb though. I pulled the drain plug from the bottom of the carb and drained out the old fuel. I am at a loss right now; trying not to take apart the carb if I don't have to. Any suggestions will be great!
