I had to leave the wideGlide for almost two years. What do I need to do before trying to restart it?
I would charge battery, change gas, oil, plugs.

I would put a small amount of motor oil in each cylinder and turn it over either by hand or with the ignition disconnected. To make sure you have some oil on the rings before it gets fired up. After setting for a long period of time it can break dried up rings to fire after setting.Just as a precautionary thing.
Ride it like you stole it. But live to brag about it.
