    04 heritage sftail-vehicle speed sensor

hello,i need a little help locating my vss on my 04 heritage softail, got the bike three summers ago, have had zero problems, the former owner had totally chromed the bike out before i got,did a great job,but now it's hard to see everything.could someone help me locate the sensor,i've been reading that once u get the sensor loose and cleaned up free of metal filings, reinstall, speedometer should resume working correctly as well as signals.is that correct? thanks for your time

Right side of bike just behind the upper chrome cover of the transmission. It will be a black plug with an insulated wire coming out of it. It has one 3/16th allen screw holding it in.

    Hope this helps.
