    Preload adjustment

Just installed lowering studs on my 07 FXSTC yesterday. After reassembling the shocks, I'm not really sure if both shocks are adjusted to the same preload. I want them set at the lightest preload since I only weigh $1.35 soaking wet. Can I get the lightest preload by turning the adjuster plate clock-wise while holding the damper stud stationary until the adjuster plate wont turn any more? It seems to me like that would put both shocks at the lighest preload since both would be lengthened all the way out, but I could be wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

You want the spring at ots largest distance, compressing the spring makes it tighter

Thanks for the affirmation Wide. That’s what I was thinking, but just wanted to make sure. I’ll have to say, I’m a little disappointed with the lowering studs that came with the slammer kit. They’re non-adjustable and really didn’t lower the ass end that much. I’ll probably go with 422 progressives in the near future.
