The sad thing is his young son was right next to him and watched him fall. That boy is gonna hate baseball. Actually what happens is there is a foul ball that bounces back onto the field. The left fielder tosses it into the stands but the toss is a bit short and forces the fans to reach over the railing. The announcers laugh at the fall.

I've often wondered why this doesn't happen more often. A lot of the fans are not the most coordinated folks around and some are drinking too much. There is usually a lot of jostling to catch a fould ball. The railings are not always that high. And the fans don't wear helmets.
