completly confused

Ok guys--help me out on this one--went outside earlier and changed the standard 1inch handlebar risers on my 94 1200 sportster to a set of 4 1/2 inch--everything went great got the new ones installed and went to start it up and I have absolutely no fire going to the plugs!--it spends over just fine--all gauges and lights work--but no ffire---How in the world could changing a set of risers out cause this??---maybe shorted a fuse out or something?--where do I start?.......thanks.....Larry

have a look for a small ground wire , some wear near the risers or upper tree, might be is not connected

----Thanks wreckerman--I called myself reaattaching that ground wire but I may have not secured it well enough--I was wondering what purpose it served--It runs only about 3 inches long from the lower riser bolt to the triple tree
