    Vented fork tube cap

Anyone know if a 2004 wide glide front end should have vented fork tube caps? I was under the impression they were for older style front ends.

I bought a used front end but only one of the caps is vented and the other is not, and the vented one leaks oil through the vent. I'm sure it doesnt use one of each, but not sure which pair I should have on these forks.

Wide Glide forks are NOT vented. Get the correct cap and seal that sucker up. First you had better drain the fork and refill to proper level. Ultra and Road King have pressure valves, but not vents.
