Thread: Bike wont move.

    Bike wont move.

    Out riding last night shifted bike and lost all movement. shifter will only go into first and second. but bike wont move. clutch lever still has pressure and can feel movement in the cable at the transmission where clutch cable enters. seems like its stuck in nuteral any help please.

    hate to say it but look at the rear belt is it there? next on the trans there is a lever that your heal toe hooks to see if it is tight , if it is sounds like something might have let go

    good thought, rex...

    did it make any noises right before this happened? some earlier evo's had problems with the locknut backing off and spinning the drive gear on the output (5th gear) shaft.

    other thoughts-

    if it starts, then the primary drive is intact.
    could be something in the drum/forks. you'd have to pll the drum (top chrome looking cover on the trans) to look.

    Also check the clutch assembly.
