leaking orimary?? coming from back. 04 fxd

Thought the inner primary seals were bad as oil was leaking down the back of the inner primary at about 67000. Did the repair myself for the first time. Thought I did it ok but shortly after the leak reappeared. Did it again and thought I got it ok but it still leaked. Brought it to the Harley Dealer and they said inner primary seals. Fixed it and repaired a stripped screw and $405 later I was on my way. Didn't like the price but what can you do. About 1500 miles later the same thing. Leaking down the back of the inner primary to the drainplug to the floor. Pissed called them and they said to bring it in. Brought it in and got a call the next day. Bikes ready. Went back and they said that it was oil coming from the oil pan I think. They retorqued the screws and they also said no charge as the labor and parts were guaranteed 90 days. Put on about 300 miles and yesterday go to get the bike out and , yep you guessed it. Oil on the floor from the back of the inner primary. Anyone got any ideas?? I called them and they said to bring it back in. It a pain as 60 miles home to them and back twice each time. It is never a lot of oil but a few drops. With the money I've spent I want the damn thing fixed. They want to look at it again and leave it there for a week to see if it drips. It's only in the 40's and 50's here so the oil really doesn't stay nice and hot I don't think. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the dealer is trying to work with you, might want to suggest that they replace the inner primary
most likely they wont , but it will let them know that your going to start to push in-tell they get it right, truth be known I work on a few bikes from time to time , and sometimes no matter how hard you try, the old saying still apply 'SHIT HAPPENS'

My '02 does/did(?) the same thing. The output shaft to the tranny from the inner primary. I say it's not leaking it's marking its territory LOL. All joking askide, the "fix" for me was to run the heavier Mobil-1 V-twin 20w-50 in the primary. I had been running the 10w-40. However, both are made for wet clutch applications. I also was very careful about verifying both the primary chain and drive belt tension per spec, along with proper primary fluid level. The leak more or less sealed itself, I did nothing more than switch oil brands and viscosities.
