Doug "Fatback" Jones has passed away

I haven't been on here much lately (life circumstances been kinda hectic, sold my bike, etc.) but I saw on Facebook today that Fatback has passed away.

I don't know what happened - I had seen a couple posts that he was having some medical issues. I didn't see a post over here, so I thought I'd pass along the sad news. I had gone on some Patriot Guard missions he attended, had some of his wonderful BBQ. He was a great guy, and he'll certainly be missed.

    Rest in peace Doug.

Fatback was a pleasant guy around here for a long time.

Thanks busyblonde. Yes he will be missed

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

wow remember the first time we met was staying at momrideing house and remdic, other two names from the past
we had a group together from this very site to ride the dragon tail, well Doug had taken off and we were going to meet him and we are just getting ready to meet up with him and his bagger had quit on him , so went out and fixed it on the spot so we could ride the rest of the day, also rode with him on a few other events he had been going through a few ruff spots over the last few years but thought most of that was behind him will miss the big guy RIP fatback

RIP Fatback. Rode through the mountains for part of a day on one of those rides Wrecker is talking about.

I too was on that Dragon ride. In fact in my avatar he was the next bike in line, just out of view in the picture. He was from a neighboring county and I also rode with him on Patriot Guard and toy runs. Like Wrecker said, he had an old 80's Electra Glide and he kept that thing running and rode it all over. He really was a good guy, never had a bad word for anybody. My sympathy to his wife and kids.
