Hi Guys
Although I still do not have a Harley (still shopping) but figured out to join this forum to learn more about the bike that I want...an HD sportster.

I had a 2004 Sportster and traded it in on a 2010 Ultra last year. The Sportster had 88k miles on it when I traded and I loved every mile of it. I got the Ultra because the Ole Lady and I outgrew it and I didn't like riding on the tank when she was on the back. People used to ask me how I could put so many miles on a Sportster and I always said it's because I changed the shocks and seat to make it comfortable. After I got my Ultra I asked myself how did I put that many miles on it. The Ultra is the way to go if you're old and fat like me.
Welcome Ron. Sportsters are cool. I like the older style with the 2.2 gallon peanut tank.

I'm not here for a long time I'm here for a good time.
Thanks guys for the warm welcome...I am thinking of buying this....a 2000 sportster as a starting bike. I love the look of the peanut tank and the classic look... it's an 883....the bikes front fork aluminum has some blemishes....perhaps a fork chrome cover will fix the issue...then next mod will be an ISO grips and upgraded forward controls....oh boy I've got to many xmass wishes...
