1993 FXR 40M miles Lifters starting to make noise, any easy fix?
push rod adjustment / blown roller wheel on the lifter/ junk in the oil screen for the lifters "top of oil pump"
just to name a few , take it apart and investigate.

wrecker's gotcha, but when's the last time it was rode hard to get it hot and had the oil/filter changed? might want to start there. also- noise at an idle on evo's is often associated with too low an idle speed. idle s/b @800 rpm- a little faster than "potato-potato"...
