    like I said in a ealier post,we do alot of 98" builds and sell alot of kits too,wondering what piston kit you used for 97"? hoping its not KB,we refuse to use or install them,KB pistons are fondly called "Ka Boom" around here,junk!!!

    not to argue with you, but the only piston failures I am aware of with KB is when using nitrous
    The problem about the tops of the pistons busting is something I am aware of, that said, the ring end gap needs to be given extra room on the KB so that the top ring land doesn't break. The gaps on these are set to .022, which is .003 more than the .019 KB said to use

    If this all goes bad I guess I will go to Wiseco pistons

    is that what your using?we do ALOT of motors,mild to nitro & we`ve seen all kinds of problems (i wouldt even think about useing KB`s with nirous!!!)just pistons breaking,not with our builds,like I said,we wont use them,check out some other forums,youll find out nobody else likes them either,if you want to go weiseco (or CP)thats what we use,call us

    well so far so good 500 mile break in is almost done

    did the 500 mile oil change, shit was black as coal, did a compression test ( warm) 185 in front and back

    Well heading for 700 miles, everything seems good, friggen seal is leaking on the tranny....SOB I hate taking the inner primary off...friggen starter bolts are a pain in the ass
